What Do I Care
Next to You
We Are Bloods is the first US release from Australian garage pop trio Bloods. We Are Bloods features four brand-new songs: “Into My Arms” is brash and upbeat. “Mi Luchador” puts a new twist on a classic girl-group sound. “What Do I Care” is fast, bratty, and defiant, and rounding it all out is “Next to You,” a slower, lamenting song about longing for that special someone you want to snug. Pressed on translucent blood-red vinyl. Edition of 500.

The Lake
Dream King
Ghoul
Three new songs by Dude York in collaboration with Luke Atlas. Recorded in the summer of 2012 in a windowless practice space in Sodo and originally released as an extremely limited tour-only cassingle, these songs serve as a showcase for then-new bassist Claire England’s vocal contributions, a transition point from the everything in the red and all at once approach of the obliterated home recordings that preceded it, and an experiment in shining pop production bookended by two relentlessly heavy songs, the Nick Lowe-indebted title track and the choral-leaning “Ghoul.” The cassingle edition of this record described it as something that “may or may not be a taste of what is or isn’t to come.” This description, one year later, is still accurate. Hand-Numbered. Edition of 500.

Vacant & Impatient
Haunt Me
“Vacant & Impatient” and “Haunt Me” are among the first few songs recorded as Prism Tats, strung together from song scraps and crude demos left behind after the disillusion of G vandercrimp’s former band Koko and the Sweetmeats. Continuing with his characteristic guitar-and-beat-driven compositions, Prism Tats also features the the addition of drum machines and other electronic elements, adding depth to the simple formula to create something he likes to call “future garage trash pop.” Includes download code w/exclusive bonus track “Know-It-All”. Hand-numbered. Edition of 500.For shipping outside of the US, please contact info(at)whoopingcranerecords(dot)com.
